What is a School Counsellor?

A school counsellor is a trained professional equipped to support students’ academic achievement and social development needs. School counsellors are committed to the students and parents with whom they work and recognise their responsibility for the students' welfare; we aspire to make a positive difference to a student’s quality of life.

Parents can utilise the school counsellor to build tools together to help their child to achieve and persevere. By using this process, students will better appreciate their self-worth and identity.  Alternatively, we can assist in referring students to professionals outside school.

The school counsellor can support your child’s:

·        Personal and/or social well-being

·        Journey to reach their potential

·        Strengths and finding their passion

By providing a confidential and safe environment.
