The Early Years Centre houses our Pre-K year group (children aged 2.6 – 3 years), the K1 year group (children aged 3-4 years)oranand the K2 year group (children aged 4-5 years). We follow the UK's Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, (the EYFS), which provides guidance on the learning and development for children aged from birth to five years old.

There are options for full or half day attendance in Pre-K and K1.
A half day programme is 8am to 12 noon
A full day programme is 8am to 2.40pm

The Pre-K day is a half day programme. Children with older siblings may apply for the full day which offers an afternoon sleep option.

The K1 day is a full day programme. There are options for children to attend on a half day basis if this better suits their needs. Afternoon options include a sleep programme and play options, the K1 afternoon programme also offers opportunities for children to take part in activities provided by Tumbletots, Little Gym and Gymboree all on site here at the centre.

The K2 day is a full day programme only, (8am to 2.40pm). K2 children also have the option of attending after-school activities which run from 2.50-3.50pm.

In addition to our regular school programmes, we run a Little Lions Parent and Toddler Group and a Little Lions toddler only group for children aged 18 months up to 2.6 or 3 years old.
The Little Lions parent Toddler group runs daily from 8.30am to 11.30am.
The Little Lions Toddler only group runs daily from 8am to 11am.

All the staff in the Early Years Centre are qualified early learning teachers. Our Pre-K classes are led by a class teacher with one teaching assistant and one nanny. K1 and K2 classes are led by one class teacher and one teaching assistant with a nanny allocated to each year group. Class sizes are kept small to meet adult to child ratios.
