Alumni
Harrow is pleased to announce the opening of a new alumni website and we encourage all former students to sign up.
The aim of the Alumni Association is to be a focus and means by which Harrovians can maintain their link with the School and with each other in Thailand and around the world.
Ours is a very young association and has only been operating for four years. We are still in the process of setting it up but we have already managed to have a very successful formal dinner reunion in 2005 and three informal reunions in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We wish to establish representatives in different countries who can provide support and social links to those of you studying, not only in Thailand, but elsewhere in the world and who will keep you informed of our activities. If any of you would like to assume this role, please let us know.
We also want to encourage Alumni to organise their own functions in the country in which they are living and forward to us any photos of the events so we can post them on the Alumni website. Another plan is to encourage links between present Harrovian pupils and teachers with Old Harrovians through a range of activities such as sporting competitions. Your suggestions would be most welcome.
EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION
When any special events occur, such as our annual reunion, you will be informed by email, and through Face Book. Every February, Dr Hensman has an Alumni dinner in London and, on the eve of Speech Day in early July, we have a reunion in Bangkok. We’d love to hear of any social reunions you have elsewhere.
Ohm (Attakorn Saiyasombat) has very kindly offered to be the Alumni link in the UK attakorn4@hotmail.com . Is anyone prepared to be the Alumni link in other countries? If so, please contact carole_e@harrowschool.ac.th to confirm your willingness.
Harrow is still a very young school and our Alumni organisation has only been in existence for four years. It is growing slowly but it is developing thanks to the interest of Ex-Harrovians. We hope it will continue to grow.
