Byron House win Prep Sports day with some record breaking performances. Prep School Sports day took place on Thursday 11th March. The morning of athletics started with a opening ceremony “walk past” and the Thai National Anthem. The competition combined traditional track and field events as well as well as some fun individual races and relays. Many students set superb running times and jumped and threw record distances to win individual gold, silver and bronze medals. Every competitor, whether first or last, won points for their respective house and as a result the team work was of the highest standard.

After a morning of great performances the event was finished off by the Prep Charity Mile where 200 students, staff, gap students and parents ran four laps of the track for charity. It was an impressive spectacle and one that embodied the Harrow values of resilience, charity, team work, community and service to others.

When the final points were added up, Byron won the girls competition, Keller won the boys event, but overall Byron House won enough points to secure the House Sports Day Champions Trophy for 2010 – well done Byron students, a well deserved victory!

Many thanks must go to all our P.E, Prep staff and teaching assistants for their time and expertise and, in particular, a big thank you to friends of Harrow parents for presenting the medals and to Khun Chaiyo for doing such an efficient job setting up a beautifully laid out Harrow track for the event.
