HARROW STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES Movement Therapy Newly invented programme As part of student support services, the movement program offers students an opportunity to develop and strengthen their physical abilities which in turn support their academic learning. The aim is to support students in enhancing their fine and gross motor skills by developing the following areas: balance, coordination, body awareness, spatial awareness and hand/eye coordination. Students have the chance to attend both early morning sessions and during the school day. The sessions are fun for the students and yet crucial in supporting the development of the whole child. Teachers and parents are welcome to visit sessions with the students to find out how simple movement activities such as jumping and rolling support the mind and body to work together effectively to enhance the learning brain. After each session students are ready to learn more and more!!! |
