Primary School Curriculum PDF Print E-mail

The principles that underpin the Primary Curriculum at Harrow International School are the teaching of attitudes, knowledge, skills and concepts that encourage the aspiration of excellence in learning and living.

To achieve this, the pupils follow curriculum guidance from England and Wales.

This determines the content that will be taught and sets targets for learning. It helps to give teachers, pupils and parents a clear and shared understanding of the knowledge, skills and concepts that the pupils will gain whilst at Harrow. However, we ensure that our curriculum does refl ect the needs, culture and history of our school’s multinational community and, of course, our host country Thailand. Continuity and Progression is achieved by building on pupils’ previous experiences and through planning exciting and challenging activities that further develop their knowledge, skills and understanding.

To ensure the quality of education received by pupils at Harrow is first rate, we carry out regular monitoring and assessment of their learning, as well as our own planning and teaching. This guarantees that our teaching matches pupils’ individual needs.
