U17 girls basketball and U13 girls football win silver medals at BISAC Tournaments. Three teams bring home BISAC Season 2 tournament medals. Last weekend six Lions teams represented Harrow at the Season 2 BISAC Championships. The highlights of the weekend were the U17 and U13 Girls who both reached the finals of their respective competitions. The U17 Girls played some fantastic basketball over two days, beating Patana, Ruamrudee, Traill and Thai Chinese Schools but lost out in a close final to NIST.

The U13 Girls’ football team also had a long day of competition at Ruamrudee. Again they managed victories over all opposition before facing Bangkok Patana in the final. After a superb team effort and fantastic free kick goal by Anna Glaze the girls looked like they were on the road to victory; only to see BPS snatch a last minute equaliser. After extra time the girls unfortunately lost after a set of nerve racking penalties. Nevertheless, silver medals and what an effort!

The U13 Boys had A and B teams in their BISAC tournament. The B team played well to reach the final of the B team event and just lost out to ASB. The A team played some free flowing football but after being 1-0 up against a strong NIST side in the semi final, they eventually succumbed 2-1. However, in true Harrow style, heads did not go down and they went on to beat ISB 4-0 in the play off for third place – thus gaining well earned bronze medals. Well done boys.

Here at HIS, the U15 girls’ football team played some of the best football they have done this season. After some tough pool games where they beat St.John’s and Bromsgrove but lost out narrowly to NIST and RIS, the girls qualified for the Plate competition. The Lions then after beating TCIS in the semi final and SHB in the final, the girls won the plate competition.
