Career Skills for the 21st Century

When thinking about the essential skills and knowledge of young people for them to thrive in their careers, there are often key areas that are fundamental for success. In a rapidly changing world where new occupations pop up alongside new technologies, how do we prepare students for such a future, and how are existing professions changing?

Parent and students are invited to join Dr Shanton Chang, Associate Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at The University of Melbourne, for an in-depth lecture on Careers and Skills for the 21st Century.

This presentation will seek to highlight the key skills and knowledge needed as we consider the future of our students and children. What key skills and areas of study might be important in preparing them for an uncertain technology driven future.
